This is the sole surviving Praying Mantis Ootheca of four that survived the long cold winter.

Side view of Ootheca.  Really hope I am around when it's time to hatch.

The Ootheca's I have found so far this year, the first one I found at work the other four at home.  They belong to the Chinese Mantis (Tenodera aridifolia sinensis).

These two pregnant ladies we're no more than 2 feet away from one another, I am wondering if they are the same species or just a slight color variation from each other?  I believe they are both Chinese Mantis?
I had the day off today and decided to take pics of adult praying mantis's before it's too late.  I have been seeing them at work but haven't been able to find them at home unlike the nymphs I have been taking pictures of for a couple years now.  Today was my lucky day, they're we're 4 pregnant females.  This is the best pic of the bunch.

Nice pic of a Robber Fly back at my old house.
This is a great Savage garden pic!  A bold Jumping Spider devouring a fly, note the initial stab wound in the eye...GRUESOME!!!
